I am trying to add a new OFBiz committer (sharan.foga@gmail.com) to the Committers group in Jira following these steps:

1) log in to Jira with my account (jacopoc)
2) visit this page:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/plugins/servlet/project-config/OFBIZ/roles
3) click on the pen icon in the Committers box
4) type the name sharan.foga@gmail.com
5) press the update button

Result: the page refreshes but the account is not added to the permission group, without any error.

I am pretty sure I am doing something wrong but I can't figure it out, please help.
