General input/output error when saving a document with password

Hello list

With a custom build on OpenSolaris/sparc an error occurs when I try to
save a document with password protection (tick at the "save as" dialog).
It says:
---
Error saving the document Untitled1:
General Error.
General input/output error.
---

We are not sure whether this is a bug or a configuration issue. Any
ideas? Shall I open a bug ticket?
