[jira] [Created] (AVRO-3207) Improve formatting of generated SpecificRecord source files

Tommy Becker created AVRO-3207:
----------------------------------

Summary: Improve formatting of generated SpecificRecord source files
                 Key: AVRO-3207
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AVRO-3207
             Project: Apache Avro
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: java
            Reporter: Tommy Becker

The code generated by the SpecificCompiler is formatted quite poorly, with incorrect/inconsistent indentation, odd line breaks/spacing, etc. It should be possible to clean this up by merely adjusting the Velocity template. We might also reconsider the use of fully  qualified class names to make things less verbose if we can do so without name collisions.
