I recall Andy Oliver mentioned that early on POI donated serializers to COCOON. I think that both projects were in Apache Jakarta at that time.

Nope, it's in the COCOON project. I think we can ignore this bug, it looks
like the notification was triggered by a cleanup

I know I am going to look stupid but I have never seen this class in the
javadocs. Is HSSFSerilizer part of POI?
