Not able to install cassandra in linux

[root@calculus apache-cassandra-0.6.1]# bin/cassandra -f
Can't start up: not enough memory




Am beginner in Cassandra.
My installation failing due to the above error in linux.
Could any one give solution for this.?

My guess is that you don't have enough memory
