AxisCPP 146

Hi Folks,
re:
http://nagoya.apache.org/jira/browse/AXISCPP-146

What is the resolution to this problem - did anyone apply the patch? Are we
happy with the patch ? there is a comment about this only being OK for
certain transports - any more thoughts?

\I'm not sure what this patch does (I'm not good at reading diffs!).
However, I think that having a environment variable is just fine for client
and server. We have removed the requirement for libraries to be specified
in the config file (has this been done by someone I remember a mail thread
recently? - If not we should do this in 1.4)

If anyone has any other opinions then please say otherwise I think I'm
going to vote that we reject this fix.

I too agree that this solution is apache specific.

Dependancy for AXISCPP_DEPLOY is required for locating axiscpp.conf file,
rather than for Apache
settings.

Hence even if we eliminate dependancy for Apache server, we would still
need the envioronment
variable to locate the configuration - both on server as well as client.

I do not think using an envioronment variable is a big issue (Java use
CLASSPATH)
