[jira] [Commented] (CLOUDSTACK-3810) deployVirtualMachine ignoring projectid

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-3810?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14142796#comment-14142796 ]

Pierre-Luc Dion commented on CLOUDSTACK-3810:
---------------------------------------------

- Creating VM in project does not require domain/accountid.
- UI display VM inside project when creating with API as this cloudmonkey example:
{code}
deploy virtualmachine projectid=1d7308ad-c66d-43fe-8f0c-192e21ea4c7e templateid=561b07ba-c753-49fd-a180-eccac7cf29ed serviceofferingid=d6b95d19-ac60-44dd-a333-71438bf75826 zoneid=99948ad0-7996-47ee-9361-96f8a2d3154b
{code}

tested on ACS4.3

>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-3810
>             Project: CloudStack
>          Issue Type: Bug
> Security Level: Public(Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
>          Components: API, Doc
>    Affects Versions: 4.1.0
>            Reporter: David Matteson
>            Priority: Trivial
>
> deployVirtualMachine documentation doesn't specify that projectid and account/domainid are mutually exclusive. They apparently are and this should be made clear. :)
