I'm creating this issue to document this recurring question, infra feel free to close WONTFIX for now until volunteers show up.

pulse.apache.org was turned off quite a while ago, presumably due to IO concerns on the host where it runs (see Message-ID: <CA...@mail.gmail.com> on infrastructure@apache.org) and because it was not maintained.

The code that runs it is at http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/labs/pulse/ - before infra can turn it on again, volunteers would be needed to diagnose and fix the problems.

BTW please fix the component --- analysis is for analysis.apache.org
