You might be able to get Tomcat to start James via the JMXLauncher using
Tomcat by adding the appropriate mbean descriptor
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.0-doc/mbeans-descriptor-howto.
html but I have never tried this myself.
