Subversion 1.6.17?
Hi
I think there was mention on the developers list of releasing Subversion 1.6.17. I am interested in the improvements to Windows checkout.
Any news on this please?
Best regards
David

FWIW, 1.6.x now works for me on this issue (I had previously proven the
1.6.x-issue371 branch). Of course, all that really means is that the svn
merge worked OK :)
Roll on 1.6.17; thanks guys!

The bugfix has been merged to the 1.6.x branch, so that's the one to
be testing now:

Ok, the 3rd vote is in, so the fix is all set for being backported.
When 1.6.17 gets made, it should hop along ...

It currently has 2 of the 3 required votes (see
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/subversion/branches/1.6.x/STATUS). I
have previously looked at the branch (and built it), but didn't have
time to review it in detail yet. I'll try to take another look tonight
so this can be backported ...

Note that the change you are looking for has been nominated for
backport but does not have the essential 3 votes yet. So if you have
built the branch and seen improvements it would not hurt to start
lobbying. You might motivate someone to review the branch and vote
for it.

I really did mean 1.6.17, as it is on the status page.

Are you talking about version 1.6.17 or version 1.7.x? I haven't seen anything about 1.6.17 here on the list, but there have been a few references on 1.7.x here...
The news in the upcoming 1.7.x you'll find here: http://subversion.apache.org/docs/release-notes/1.7.html
... but no release date though

https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/subversion/branches/1.6.x/STATUS says
there is a 1.6.17 planned. What sort of "news" are you looking for?
Unreleased versions normally aren't discussed on this list; they're
more often discussed on the developers' list.
