Versioning of Spark Connect Gateway
Hi all,
Thanks for voting on the Spark Connect Gateway.
Now we've opened the dedicated repository of Spark Connect Gateway. I'm
bootstrapping the repository.
On the versioning of Spark Connect Gateway, I prefer to follow the Spark
Kubernetes Operator as the precedent:

That means to use an independent versioning for the Spark Connect Gateway,
i.e., adding new `Versions` in Apache Spark JIRA which can be used for
places like "Fix Version/s" in the JIRA tickets of the connect gateway.
The new `Versions` will be `connect-gateway-` prefix, for example
`connect-gateway-0.1.0`.
Since this follows precedent, I guess there shouldn't be a need for another
vote. I just wanted to mention that here.

connect-gateway-0.x.0 sounds good to me. And I agree with you that we don't
need a vote for that kind of sub-project-specific decision.
