+0 -- I'm very concerned about bug 3625 btw. It looks a lot like
a serious issue on the platforms where that syslog() implementation
is used. haven't had time to look at it though :(
The only other thing I could see blocking a 3.0.0 is the logo, but at
this stage I think we should just release with the old logo instead;
3.0.0-final is much overdue and the logo doesn't really appear in the
distributed package as much as on the website, which can be updated
anytime.

Well, we can hold off for a few days, but we need to get the issue identified
and patched.

If we're going to do a release, unless a new logo is "way out", lets
just get it done.
