[jira] [Commented] (HIVE-9843) LLAP: instrument logging for fragments

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-9843?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14345934#comment-14345934 ]

Sergey Shelukhin commented on HIVE-9843:
----------------------------------------

We can use NDC or MDC.
MDC has a nice property that it's auto-inherited between threads, however that obviously breaks down completely in any thread pool, bogus values are logged when thread is reused unless you explicitly clean them up and later reset (no inheritance during thread reuse).
NDC needs to be inherited explicitly. NDC also allows nested elements.
I think we should use NDC.
