Hey All,

I've put Fabrice's tarball up on the Apache WWW site:

  http://xml.apache.org/dist/xerces-p/experimental/xerces-2.0-test.tar.gz

I'm pretty swamped, but let me know if I can help in any way. I'm
still trying to understand the issues with debian perl-5.8, so in the
meantime I recommend building perl from scratch (I did this while
installing XML-Xerces in Seattle and it worked fine).

Thanks,
jas.

By the way.
I got a good build of xerces-perl 1.7 on debian with perl 5.8.
I couldn't use the xerces-c tarball though, it took a rebuild of xerces-c.
Also, the other few changes I mentioned earlier.
