Review Please: Stock Presentation

I have a "stock" Apache CloudStack presentation here:

http://www.slideshare.net/jzb/getting-started-with-apache-cloudstack

This is derived from presentations that David Nalley was using when I
started working with the project last summer, plus a number of
changes/additions I've made in the interim.

I'd appreciate some feedback on it so we can get a good "default"
CloudStack presentation for anyone who wants to give a talk on
CloudStack without having to generate a preso from scratch.

(We could also do with a way better default slide background!)

Best,

jzb

I am new to this project, but I have come up with this mindmap -
http://bit.ly/VTJh0e to give high level intro on Apache CloudStack from
different perspectives.
Hope this can help a little bit in helping new comers to understand
CloudStack faster.
Any comment/correction, welcome and I will constantly update/enhance this
mindmap.

PS: The DevCloud link mentioned in previous presentation slides have old
pointer. The new one should be:
http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/DevCloud

Thanks.

Yeah.. I'd like all presentations linked from the Wiki, but they don't need
to "live" on the wiki. SlideShare is generally "the" place for presentations
to live, and you'll get more bang for your buck if you spread it there
first. (And then give us a link on the wiki.)

If you have a CloudStack-specific presentation that should go there, shoot
it to me and I'll see to it that it's up on SlideShare under the CloudStack
account.

+1 for a file dump area but for presos I'D recommend Slideshare for
promotional reasons.

There is a CloudStack slideshare http://www.slideshare.net/cloudstack/ we
used that pre Apache and it does drive a lot of views. There are also 133
built in followers.

If we are going to have a default download in the future we need one
"dropbox" or file dump area.

We really really need one place that has links/reference to all slides..

Would we have one, or should I start the tracking effort?

Overall, good. A few thoughts:

* Wordy - I know the deck needs to stand by itself, but a few slides require a good amount of reading or fill up whole slide with words
* Slide 13's a good idea, but won't be readable at the back of a medium sized room

+1 on OpenOffice but let's make it work in both LibreOffice/OpenOffice and
Powerpoint. Excuse the blasphemy...

Agreed- actually - we need a default slide template (preferably in
OpenOffice format)
There is nothing about EC2/S3 capabilities in this deck.
