This is an issue with Pluto 1.0.1-rc3. Reverting to -rc2 fixes the problem. Please put rc2 JAR/WAR on the maven site where you have -rc3 and then we can revert etc/project.properties.
Pluto was supposed to have an -rc4 release by now, though I'm not sure whether the fix is in there.
