private vs. protected in SlideLoginModule

Folks!

I am currently trying to inherit from SlideLoginModule to get some JAAS
stuff done that is part of something bigger I hope I can show you soon.
Anyway, all members in SlideLoginModule are local which makes them
unusable for me. Any reason why I should not change them to protected?

Oliver
