Java mail container stops polling after few days

Hi,

I have been using Java mail container for polling emails in a slightly
customized version of OFBiz 10.04 (SVN revision 1072382).
Necessary configuration for email polling has been made in
framework/base/config/ofbiz-containers.xml, have even turned the debug flag
to true so polling statements are visible in the logs.
The configuration works fine and emails get downloaded.
However, have been noticing that after a span of several days the container
stops polling for emails, causing emails accumulations in the mailbox being
polled.
But email polling starts once again after a restart.

The cause has not yet been identified, if anyone has any suggestions please
do share.
