Using JIRA issue numbers in commit messages...

Just to let everybody know, if you write a commit message in subversion that
includes the exact JIRA issue number, it is possible to view such commits
alongside the issues in JIRA.

It would be great if everybody tried to related commits to issues whenever
reasonable.

For example:
http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-51?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.ext.subversion:subversion-commits-tabpanel

Please note that JIRA uses a scheduled background task to actually go through
all of the commit messages so it might take some time for this message to
actually show up in JIRA.

Greetings, Marcel

The parenthesis are OK. FELIX-51 is "fixed" while FELIX-40 was "open."
You'll notice that "Files Changed" does list the updated files in SVN,
so they were getting picked up.

FELIX-40 was resolved with Alex' recent mavenization, so I closed it.
You'll notice that now the FELIX-40 is crossed out.

He told me. :)

Well, I just took a look at issue 40:

http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-40?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.ext.subversion:subversion-commits-tabpanel

I see the subversion information just fine. It might be case sensitive though
(not sure, but we can look that up probably).

Thanks Marcel,
I was asking about this feature to Richard just this morning. :-)

I noticed that in Felix-40 Enrique has used the key between parenthesis,
do you think it could be the reason because the issue key is not crossed
in Enrique's message ( on the contrary of Felix-51) ?.
