[jira] [Updated] (ASTERIXDB-1702) Restore mode for Metadata/Catalogs

Ian Maxon updated ASTERIXDB-1702:
---------------------------------
    Issue Type: Improvement (was: Bug)

> Restore mode for Metadata/Catalogs
> ----------------------------------
>
> Key: ASTERIXDB-1702
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ASTERIXDB-1702
> Project: Apache AsterixDB
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Reporter: Ian Maxon
> Assignee: Ian Maxon
>
> We can currently back up the Metadata dataverse by simply querying it and getting all of the entries, however there's no way to restore that data currently. There should be a special 'Restore mode' that would allow one to manually provide the Metadata dataverse by insert in lieu of having Metadata bootstrap run.
