   Sorry for guiding you to the wrong direction while I reviewed your PR #3353 !
   After reviewing it again, your first commit was correct. I got confused about my test results.
   I'm +1 with PR #3353.
   
   However, I think we should avoid having duplicate schema check logic.
   So, I created this PR, based on your 1st commit in #3353.
   I already signed and add close comment for 3353.
   If my refactoring looks good, then would you please merge these two commits in this PR to the master branch?
