GCE improvements

Hi folks,

Over the next month(ish), I'm planning on adding a lot of incremental
improvements to the Google Compute Engine driver to improve overall API
coverage.

Would you prefer I create a Jira issues for each pull-request, or are you
OK without corresponding Jira issues?

Echoing Adrian: great news, thanks Eric! JIRAs are nice for major  
things as they make it into the release notes automatically, but I  
don't think we need them for each PR, indeed...

Great news, Eric!

No jiras works for me. I'd just ping the "promote GCE" one on anything
particularly notable.
