[jira] [Created] (NIFI-2243) UI should show a difference between components with read permissions and components with write permissions

Mark Payne created NIFI-2243:
--------------------------------

Summary: UI should show a difference between components with read permissions and components with write permissions
                 Key: NIFI-2243
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-2243
             Project: Apache NiFi
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Core UI
            Reporter: Mark Payne

If a user has 'read' permissions on a Processor or other component, but does not have write permissions, it is not obvious to the user that he/she does not have write permissions. This should be made more clear by looking at the component on the canvas. Otherwise, we have situations were users will want to move a group of components but won't be able to, etc. Also, when the user right-clicks on the component, they will see "View Configuration" instead of "Configure" which is the same behavior that is seen when a processor is running, and this may lead to confusion if the UI doesn't explicitly show that the user only has read permissions.
