Use case for apache ranger and knox

Hi all!

I want to know how can we use apache knox and apache ranger effectively ?

is it useful for only webhdfs ? Can we restrict a user from using hdfs or
hadoop commands within cluster and outside of cluster?

What is the best use of ranger?

This is a decent introduction to Ranger<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZMhK6MHfXE> in particular and the echo system in which Ranger works.  There are a few other<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCZKrKo5ebQ> decent introductory Ranger videos to help you get started, too.  There is a similar introductory video on Knox<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLI9UUW00Kc> available. I think a review of these might answer most if not all of your questions.
