[jira] [Commented] (TEZ-1596) Secure Shuffle utils is extremely expensive for fast queries

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TEZ-1596?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14181161#comment-14181161 ]

Rajesh Balamohan commented on TEZ-1596:
---------------------------------------

For every connection response, tez carries out a validate() and it internally uses generateByteHash as well. So the fix would help both setupConnection() and validate().
{code}
SecureShuffleUtils.verifyReply(replyHash, encHash, jobTokenSecret);
{code}
