[jira] [Created] (VCL-850) Prevent 3D video from being enabled by default in VMware .vmx files

Andy Kurth created VCL-850:
------------------------------

             Summary: Prevent 3D video from being enabled by default in VMware .vmx files
                 Key: VCL-850
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VCL-850
             Project: VCL
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: vcld (backend)
    Affects Versions: 2.4, 2.4.1
            Reporter: Andy Kurth
            Assignee: Andy Kurth
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 2.4.2

VMware.pm is currently setting the following values in .vmx files by default:
{{mks.enable3d = "TRUE"}}
{{svga.yes3d = "TRUE"}}

Although the VM seems to operate correctly with these settings enabled, I have encountered a problem attempting to hibernate a VM with the setting enabled and migrate it to another host. On the destination host, the VM will not power on. Disabling the 3D settings prevent the problem from occurring.
