------- Additional Comments From unsupported@buraphalinux.org 2005-09-12 11:16 -------
The 2.0.X apache series has been abandoned by the developers in favor of 2.1.
There is no stable 2.1. Therefor you must migrate back to 1.3 or live with
total lack of support. Take a look at the long list of patches any real
distribution has to apply to apache 2.0.54 (supposedly the highest release
version of apache available), and then ask how on earth they found all the
patches. Even when the problems show up on slashdot there is no 2.0.55 and
no official post-2.0.54 patches. I hope they read this and do the right thing:
release a 2.0.55 with all patches applied _AND_ get back to maintaining the
apache 2.0 series. I'd like to _know_ that all known bugfixes are applied,
but right now you can only hope you stumbled across all of them somewhere
in this site, applied them in the right order, etc.
