Custom Guice Module activation

OK, so probably a silly question but is there nay way to have the configure
method of a custom guice module called automatically before my mojo is
instantiated and injected? I've spent the best part of two days trawling
mail archives and every page found on google to no avail so I'm guessing
this is simply not possible?
