lax validation in Schema

Hi,

I am using an Xerces 1.2.3 ...and I am using schemas for validation.
i want to tell my schema processor to do a lax validation of xml
document....essentially it should validate onyl those elements which are
defined in schema and it should not complain about elements which are not
define in schema??

how can i do that ?? is there any setup required in XML or in Schema ??
