Flume Morphline Interceptor question

Greetings,
  I was wondering if it was possible to add entries to a message received via an AVRO source?  I have a record that has a specific set of fields, comma delimited, and wish to be able to add extra fields to the end of the message.  Would the morphline interceptor allow me to do this?  I would be writing to a Hive Sink.
