Error in Bootstrap build - Maven 3.0 bleeding version
Hi,
I tried downloading the whole maven 3.0 code from Subversion and tried to do
a bootstrap build using build.xml.
I am getting the following error
C:\bea\user_projects\MavenWorkspace\MavenProject\build.xml:220: Syntax error
in property: ${
I saw the code was last committed by "bentmann". Any clues?

I am facing the same problem
my ant version is
ant-1.6.5-2jpp.2.x86_64
i am getting the same error.
trying to install maven 3.1.0-alpha-1
no updates found to ant on my kernel which is
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.38.4-72_fbk30_00187_g08807b6 #72 SMP Fri Jul
13 12:16:39 PDT 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
centos
what to do?

thanks for the clue...i was using an older Ant version...
now the build is fine..

Works for me using Ant 1.8.1 - what version of Ant are you using?
