Commiting large binary file generated checksum error and corrupted repository ... now can't update ...

Hi,

I had about a dozen large (4M) binary files (images) that I attempted to
commit as a single commit. Svn repeatedly reported checksum errors and
filed the commit. I found I had to commit one file at a time to get them
into the repository.

However, now I cannot update from the repository to a new/clean working
copy. I get the old checksum error and the update fails.

It gets better. Running 'svnadmin recover' works, but 'svnadmin verify'
still reports the checksum error.

Now we're stuck.

Any suggestions for how to get functional again? Also, are large binary
files a known problem for svn?

gentoo 2.6.10-hardened
subversion 1.1.1

Thx,
Sandy

delete the files from svn, commit the changes, and add back them again,
one by one. Do an full checkout in a temp directory between each of the
commits to find the culprit.

That's how I solved the problem I had with my big commit (REPORT failed).

Checksum errors means there's something wrong with disk, ram, or
network transport.

svn has no known problems with large files or binary files.

That was my approach to getting the files into the repository in the
first place. I suspect I do have Ram/Disk problems as Ben had mentioned.
I'm going to move the repository to another machine to see how that
works.

Thx all!
