[RESULT] [VOTE] Release Apache Maven Archetype version 2.4 - TAKE 2
Hi,
the vote has passed with the following result:
+1 binding Karl Heinz Marbaise, Herve Boutemy, Olivier Lamy
+1 non-binding Petar Tahchiev
I will promote the artifacts to the central repo.

You have taken a look into the folder struture which is (most of the
times) very fast yes...but not waited for the search index
(http://search.maven.org/#search%7Cga%7C1%7Cg%3A%22org.apache.maven.archetype%22%20a%3A%22maven-archetype%22)
which tooks longer...yes...

You shouldn't copy from existing ones, cause they could be wrong which
is the case here...
Best is to follow the release procedure....which is really like working
through a TODO list...

Oh,
i'm sorry - I didn't mean to mess it up. About the promotion to maven
central I checked it is already there, that's why I sent the email:

The announcement template I copied from the previous maven-archetype
announcement email (version 2.3).

First you don't follow the templates we have for announcement
mails...nor do you follow the release procedure[1]...
The release procedure says you have to promote the artifacts for maven
central and than wait until it's synched to central which takes usually
4-6 hours..would means you have to wait until tomorrow for sending out
the announcement mail otherwise it could cause confusion if someone
tries to use it after the announcement mails has arrived...and it will
fail...
Furthermore the announcement mails has a template which should be used
for copy&paste....

One more thing,
I'm lacking some privileges in the JIRA so I cannot mark 2.4 as released
and create 2.5 - if someone could do that for me.
I'm writing the official announcement now, as I see the 2.4 release is
already in the central.

I just did the svnpubsub commands for the website and the image now on the
top looks broken to me.
