In fact these are two separate problems. There is a workaround for the first if
the second is solved.
I investigated the second problem a bit and found a recommendation: use xalan,
('type="xalan"' instead of 'type="xslt"' or default).
The second problem ("Unable to get transformer handler") very likely is a
problem of the latest Cocoon milestone and head-versions--or more precisely one
of the libraries used by Cocoon: XSLTC.
