[users@httpd] Installation of Apache2 on Win2K server machine
We are installing a different machine to serve mail, ftp, and http. We have
previously used Apache 1.3.x.
I downloaded and installed Apache 2.0.44. During installation the following
error message occurred:
(OS 10048)Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network
address/port) is normally permitted. : make_sock: could not bind
to address 0.0.0.0:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
The installation is on a machine with a new, clean installation of Windows
2000 Advanced Server.
Because most of us are only marginally qualified to set this up (with no
one to call on), can anyone suggest what is necessary to fix the above?
