John,
How do you want to fix it? it's a problem in the wrapper. we have a workaround for this.

Can you try to run in bin/linux directory this command :
./wrapper wrapper.conf wrapper.pidfile=./continuum.pid wrapper.daemonize=TRUE
Is it works, or do you have the same error?

I managed to run Continuum on my 64bit Linux.
I've just rebuilt the wrapper from the sources with two patches (for java 1.5 and amd64). It works.
Thanks for help.

ok, thanks for the test.
I change Fix version until JSW support it (but in 1.1, you'll don't need it because we'll normally have a war)

The problem doesn't disappear.
I think, that this binary file (wrapper) can't be run on a 64bit platform, because there is no problem on any 32bit platform I have tested on.

I think it's a problem with the java wrapper we use (http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/). Supported platforms are http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/doc/english/introduction.html#N10123
A workaround is to use plexus.sh in $continuum_home/bin
