[jira] Commented: (WICKET-2264) Ajax xml response is not validated correct

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WICKET-2264?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12769638#action_12769638 ]

Martin Grigorov commented on WICKET-2264:
-----------------------------------------

Wicket encodes all characters above as per http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/sgml/entities.html (see org.apache.wicket.Component#getDefaultModelObjectAsString(Object))
Why do you need special handling of ?

> Ajax xml response is not validated correct
> Try my quickstart project with Firefox. Clicking on the submit button should update the label above. But does not. See the result in the error log in firefox.
> The control characters is not properly escaped. Ex: "\u0014" is written
> as 0014 in the xml Ajax Response but should be . '&#0014'
> See: http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml/#dt-charref.
