Problem with Clearcase task "CCMklbtype"

The clearcase task "ccmklbtype" has two attributes global / ordinary of 
which either one can be specified,
and the task defaults to ordinary if non is specified.
But the task always uses ordinary , even if i specify global="true".

On a related note, as the original clearcase command mklbtype, does not 
require either to be specified, shouldn't
the task not default to either one in case neither global nor ordinary 
option is specified.

Anyone else seen this problem ?
I am using ant 1.6.2 on Solaris 8.0. JDK is 1.4.2.
