I tried to run "mvn clean deploy" for a directory project to deploy the snapshots on https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/snapshots. But deployment failed with error 401, see [1] for the full stack trace:
org.apache.maven.lifecycle.LifecycleExecutionException: Error deploying artifact: Failed to transfer file: https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/snapshots/org/apache/directory/studio/studio-maven-plugin/1.0.4-SNAPSHOT/studio-maven-plugin-1.0.4-20100821.110949-5.jar. Return code is: 401
I _think_ this worked with the old Continuum server. Is there some setting to allow snapshot deployment from vmbuild?

I don't recall this being set up before.
We'd need the repository maintainers to supply the credentials to use and we can put that (obfuscated) into the settings.xml file.
Another alternative is to deploy them to Archiva on the same machine - we're intending to do that for the Continuum & Archiva projects.
