[Issue 125484] New: Losing Bold words copying/pasting
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125484
Issue ID: 125484
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Losing Bold words copying/pasting
Product: Writer
Version: 4.1.0
Hardware: All
OS: Windows 7
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: editing
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: Howard_Cary_Morris@hotmail.com
When copying a paragraph, words in bold lose their boldness.
Not sure, I think I have encountered similar problems in the past.
It seems as if it just copying a string with minimum formating.

I am unable to replicate the issue that was reported. Additional information
is needed in order to assist with trouble shooting the bug.
*what font had been chosen
*was a specific font size used
*was the paragraph that was being copied originate in OO or did it come from
another program (ie MS Word, OO Impress, etc.)
*screenshot would be helpful
*was this attempted in other versions of OO
I executed the following steps with the minimum information that was provided.
Test 1:
1. Launched OO Writer
2. Created 2 paragraphs using the calibri font, font size 14
3. Bolded the entire 1st paragraph and did a copy&paste below the second
paragraph
The paragraph text remained "bold"
Test 2:
1. Launched OO Writer
2. Created a paragraph using the verdana font, font size 16; bolded the first
and last words of the paragraph.
3. Created a 2nd paragraph using the book antiqua, font size 20; bolded the 2nd
sentence of the paragraph.
4. Opened a blank document and did a copy&paste of the 2 paragraphs.
The paragraphs copied successfully and selected text remained "bold"
Test 3:
1. Created a MS Word document
2. Created 2 paragraphs using the calibri font, font size 14
3. Bolded the entire 1st paragraph and did a copy&paste below the second
paragraph
4. Did a copy of entire document
4. Launched OO Writer
5. Pasted the MS Word data
The paragraph copied successfully and the text remained "bold"
After executing the above steps, I was still unable to reproduce the bugs.
Tested with OpenOffice Version 4.0.1
Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit
