Fwd: Confluence as our CMS
Hmm...
Choosing confluence for content management seems less attractive given
Justin's comment.

FWIW, until recently, the Confluence install has been largely
unmaintained. MoinMoin is fully supported by infra@. Confluence is
supported by one or two folks who don't have it very high on their
priority list. So, don't be shocked if Confluence is down for major
swaths of time - AFAIK, it's also not backed up at all (woo-hoo!).
We've had some people volunteer recently to help out, but time will
tell if they actually take care of Confluence or not. -- justin

Well, when Confluence wasn't coming back up, I got myself an account on
Brutus. But Don Brown (who works at Atlassian) beat me to fixing it
(which I really didn't mind).
So, while I know nothing much about Confluence, I've at least got the
necessary admin privs to do something should it go wrong.

Looks to me like we should either get someone in infra to ensure we
can keep Confluence up, or host confluence ourselves, or use the other
WIKI that ASF gives better support on.
