[jira] [Commented] (JCR-3419) Overwriting Cache Entry Warnings

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-3419?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13449546#comment-13449546 ]

Marcel Reutegger commented on JCR-3419:
---------------------------------------

Had a chat with Stefan and he pointed out Observation and EventListeners. The patch has an effect on the events sent to event listeners. Right now it sends out a PROPERTY_REMOVED and a PROPERTY_ADDED event. With the patch only a PROPERTY_MODIFIED is fired. I think that's OK and according to spec, but some applications may still depend on the current behaviour...

> Recently the logs show warnings about overwriting cache entries. This is a regression caused by JCR-3345 and happens when an existing node is removed and created again with the same UUID in a single save call.
