Status of LDAP module

Hi All,
Does anyone know the status of LADP authentication module in Apache 2.0?
Last time I heard it will not be included with the package. Has the
decision changeed since then?
I hope it is included with the package.

the apache changelog doesn't tell anything

and also nothing in ApacheWeek
