[VOTE] Release Ant 1.10.16 based on RC2

Hi all

I've created a second release candidate for Ant 1.10.16.

git tag: ANT_1.10.16_RC2

     on commit: 0f752d1ee

tarballs: https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/ant/

     svn revision: 83434

Maven artifacts:
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapacheant-1066/

This 1.10.16 release of Ant is a regular bug fix release and contains
changes that are noted in the release notes at
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/ant/RELEASE-NOTES-1.10.16.html.

Compared to RC1 this is expected to have fixed the issues found on
Windows during the tests of the first RC.

The vote will be open at least until 2026-04-01 10:30 UTC.

And I start the vote with my own +1

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

I can test some of the new functionality around junctions.
I'll try to do it before wednesday.

I did some minimal tests on Windows, the new junctions functionality worked very well.
Great job!

+1

I downloaded the binary, checked some manuals, checked the NOTICE file
and ran a couple of my existing Ant projects with the newer version. All
went fine. I don't have access to a Windows system, so I haven't run
anything Windows specific.

Yeah, saw that just after I sent my earlier email. We don't have a release
imminent, but I'll test on Windows and see if there are any problems there
and decide whether to rollback so as to not impact snapshot users if any.

Given the issue the Eclipse people found we are going to have another
release soonish.

Yes, thanks Stefan. I was going to check against the Ant tests in the
Groovy test suite but didn't quite get time. The temp repo has gone
now. When it's out, I'll report back.

With 3 +1s by Jaikiran, Maarten and myself - and no other votes - thos
vote has passed.

I'll proceed with the next steps and give the mirrors a bit of time to
catch up before sending the announcement in a few hours.

Many thanks to those who verified the release
