How to use screens ?
Hi,
I have a portlet displaying data from a DB in a grid (similar to the
DatabaseBrowser portlet). On this portlet I have a button that should pop up
a printable PDF version of the grid.
I know how to use FOP and XSL to generate the PDF. But how can I have a page
that is not a portlet, not even inside the portal (I mean "visually"), but
that is still inside the JS context ? I need to access JS's rundata to get
the portlet state (there is a filter on the request and the order by column
is dynamic) ? The ideal would be to also be able to use the portlet's action
class.
Actually, I would like to have "just the portlet" on a page, without the
rest.
I am not too sure but I guess I should define a new JSP screen, something
like the login screen, but I don't know how to do it and how to use it when
it's done. Should I define an action for this screen, so that I can access
my data from the JSP ? If yes, where should I define the action ? Or is it a
completely wrong approach ?
Any help or suggestion warmly welcome !
Pierre
