Sorry My answer is ridiculous...
Your probleme comes with this version of NAV
They configure the NAV for a workstation and not a server
Try version NAV enterprise or server
I think that the good way

that with some mail the NAV close the connection while the mails was
processing, no errors was found in James logs. To solve the problem I
change the pop3 port.
Do you know something about this problem? The problem is in James or
not?

I have a small problem with Norton Antivirus(NAV) 2002, I found that with
some mail the NAV close the connection while the mails was processing, no
