small chunks in chunk encoding

Summary: small chunks in chunk encoding
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.40
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: jr@marvel-databadge.com

I noticed you get as many chunks in chunk-encoded output as calls to php's
echo/write. This may lead to very small chunks and a lot of overhead.

(I was actually trying to figure out -unsuccesfully- why my php-generated-pdf's
no longer open in IE adobe plugin, suspecting it had something to to with the
chunk-encoding, I stumbled on the small chunk size by accident)
