sure glad ofbiz will never gets like RHE

Just brought up a Red Hat server ver 5.
everthing was going well till I went to add postgresql.
got a message:
Loading "security" plugin
Loading "rhnplugin" plugin
This system is not registered with RHN.
RHN support will be disabled.

so it did not allow Postgresql to be loaded.

Wait postgresql is open source.
Sheeeesh.
Now I can see if it is something the Red hat created but most all the
open source programs I could not load.
never got to loading JDK
Wonder if Sun is getting ready to implement something similar.
Shades of Microsoft and IBM
Shudder.

What about Fedora Core? Using it more than 5 years and had no problem.

Ubuntu is another good Alternate BJ. (And I am using it since last 6 months)
But here again I will prefer to go with Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.

I tried both (Ubuntu 8.04 & Ubuntu 8.10) and found 8.04 more stable with
long term support till 2011.

+1.

CentOS is very good community driven Enterprise Unix based OS & I am very
big fan of this.
I used it for around 2 years. And I really appreciate its stability.

Postgres, Mysql can be easily installed in it.
