Cloudstack consists of multiple moving parts - cloud infra (as in MS/DB), hypervisor, storage, etc. Each of these parts entail an independent/separate approach from a DR perspective.

VMs can be backed up and recovered via volume snapshots. Explore Volume Snapshots, creating Template from Snapshots for this.

Configuration of MS is primarily consists of DB and configuration files under /etc/cloudstack/management. If you take scheduled DB backups (mysqldump or similar) along with the configuration files then you can recover from a complete failure of MS and DB in a reasonable time.

Try to search the internet for various available solutions that people have come up for their needs and see if any suit yours.

Regards,
Somesh
