[jira] (MNG-5452) ${maven.build.timestamp} should use UTC instead
of local timezone (or be configurable)
Robin Stocker created MNG-5452:
----------------------------------
Summary: ${maven.build.timestamp} should use UTC instead of local timezone (or be configurable)
Key: MNG-5452
URL: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-5452
Project: Maven 2 & 3
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Inheritance and Interpolation
Affects Versions: 3.0.4
Reporter: Robin Stocker
Priority: Minor
The {{maven.build.timestamp}} property currently uses the default local timezone. This can lead to problems when this is used in a build, as the output is dependent on the local timezone.
It would be nice if it defaulted to UTC, or if it could be configured (maybe similar to {{maven.build.timestamp.format}}.
See also [Eclipse bug 367945|https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=367945] where this is also discussed.
